When we think about fashion shows in Milan, Paris, or New York, we usually imagine women in dresses that are difficult to wear in everyday life outside of the catwalk.
High fashion and haute couture traditionally serve as a source of inspiration—ideas, silhouettes, and concepts are later reduced to more wearable, commercial collections.
However, few people know that there is also a world of technical and functional clothing where the whole principle works differently. Here, the final product is usually revealed – a piece of clothing that is not just an artistic idea, but is also functional, wearable, and ready for real use.
AND THAT'S EXACTLY WHY..
..we'd like to share this special moment with you.

For the first time ever, we had the opportunity to present our product at Paris Fashion Week.

The official presentation included Techunter x Poutnik by Tilak Continental Jacket – a limited edition bomber jacket from the Poutnik by Tilak collection, created in collaboration with TECHUNTER magazine on the occasion of its 10th anniversary. The magazine is one of the key media outlets covering technical and functional clothing. Its anniversary issue features extensive coverage of the Tilak brand and the Poutnik by Tilak collection, including a look at the production process and interviews with our team.

We see our participation in Paris Fashion Week as an important milestone – confirmation that technical clothing with clear origins, a functional approach, and honest production has its place in the international context.
HOW DID IT HAPPEN?
The entire collaboration has its roots deeply embedded in a personal relationship with Tilak products.

Alex- founder and editor-in-chief of TECHUNTER, he had his first Tilak Svalbard jacket back in 2016.
While unpacking it, he accidentally damaged it – but we repaired the jacket for him, and it became his favorite winter item. It was this experience with repairability, durability, and approach to the product that laid the foundation for future cooperation.
We first met in person during Paris Fashion Week in January 2025. Even then, it was clear that we shared the same view of technical clothing, its function, culture, and context. At Tilak, we only undertake a very limited number of collaborations each year, and when the idea of joining forces with TECHUNTER Magazine came up, it was immediately clear that it made sense.
Together with designer Maksim Kiliacci, we chose the Poutnik by Tilak collection as our basis and naturally came across references to motorcycle culture. The Continental bomber jacket from the classic Poutnik collection is based on the roots of motorcycle jackets, and it was this context that shaped the entire design.

We placed the TECHUNTERS WORLDWIDE graphic motif, created by Alessio Palazzi and Francesco Maria Falcone, on the back of the jacket as a reference to classic motorcycle club jackets. Technically, it was a challenge— working with GORE-TEX® INFINIUM™ has its clear limitations. In the end, however, we created the largest embroidered logo ever made in the Tilak workshop in our more than 40-year history, completely sealed with one large waterproof panel.

But that wasn't the end of the project. We took the design even further by adding a large double-sided back pocket, designed specifically for the upcoming TECHUNTER 10 Anniversary Magazine. The jacket thus became not only a protective technical piece, but also a literal carrier of content. The interior graphics refer to an iconic dialogue from one of Alex's favorite road movies—a detail that ties the whole story together.

In September, we welcomed the TECHUNTER team to Šumperk, where Tilak products have been made since 1986. During their visit, they documented the entire production process and interviewed Jan Hauška (CEO) and founder Roman Kamler.
A few months later, the jacket was completed and presented as part of the TECHUNTER 10th Anniversary installation in Copenhagen and subsequently at Paris Fashion Week.
The Techunter x Poutnik by Tilak Continental Jacket is available in our e-shop and also at the Tilak & Meindl Concept Store in Prague on Hradčanská. Along with each jacket, we also deliver the anniversary issue of TECHUNTER magazine.
