Roman Kamler, the founder of Tilak, suffers from a malady that is very convenient for us. He has an irresistible desire to research existing equipment or clothing and improve it.
And since he also paddles seakayak and packraft in addition to climbing rocks and mountains, it was only a matter of time before he had to upgrade his dry suit.

The idea was conceived while cruising the Franklin River in Tasmania. The testing of the prototypes was exhausting, but among the interesting destinations it is definitely worth mentioning Søndre Sermilik Fjord in Greenland or Norway's Lake Femund. We don't even count the dozens of hours of training on Slezská Harta or Lake Hallstatt. The final version was tested last year in Alaska during the Tatshenshini - Alsek expedition. And as is our custom, the dry suit was named after the Alsek River.

The result is a highly functional yet simple piece of equipment. Unlike dry suits with a polyurethane-based membrane, it is truly vapour permeable thanks to the PTFE membrane. If you're into seakayaking, packrafting, classic rafting or even sailing, be sure to check it out!
The dry suit is available in one size (XL), which is suitable for figures from 180 to 190 cm and up to about 85 kg. For smaller figures, the suit can be shortened by agreement.
..and what to wear underneath?
The bottom layer made of Japanese Teijin Deltapeak® TL material has excellent moisture wicking and insulation properties. So if you paddle hard, it will perform well.

If you are going to lower temperatures or you know that you won't work too hard paddling, choose the Serak set instead. It can be used alone as a base layer or as a second layer, best in combination with Mera.
