An outfit tailored for your spring to autumn climbing adventures? Yes, please!
A simple, proven solution and a unique material. That's a simple way to sum up Orgil, but let's look a little further.
FIT - DOES IT?
Absolutely. We took the fit of our most sophisticated climbing jacket (Evolution) and used it for the new anorak. The result is maximum freedom of movement. When you tighten the drawstring at the waist just a little, the jacket won't budge no matter how far you reach for the hold. This is also true for the light pants, which let you spread your legs far apart without pulling in the groins. You might not even know the pants are there...
UHMW-PE
...and it's not just the clever cut, but also the material used, which is a complete novelty in our collection. It is a thin and strong polyamide, with a ripstop mesh made of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMW-PE) with a weight of 41 g/m2, with a water-repellent finish. But what does that actually mean? That it offers a superior weight-to-tear ratio. It is also windproof and can withstand light rain. The size L anorak weighs a respectable 118 grams. So we're holding a cobweb in our hands, but worn on the body it can noticeably increase thermal comfort.
WHY AN ANORAK?
Thanks to the lack of a full zipper, the spiral on your stomach will not bulge when you use the harness and will not get stuck when climbing. At the same time, you don't run the risk of being left unprotected if the zipper is damaged.
In addition, an anorak provides space for a kangaroo pocket with an organizer.
Organizer in detail.
In the large pocket you can comfortably hide, for example, a climbing map, and there is still room in the organizer for something small and tasty.
The hood (fits under the helmet) is anatomically cut, clean and without various pulls. It is therefore easy to operate with one hand.
Elastic hem at the front of the hood.
At the back of the neck you will find a sewn-in elastic, thanks to which the hood fits perfectly where it should.
The sleeves are also cut anatomically and are half finished with an elastic cuff and half with thumb loops. Thanks to this, they do not roll up even when you have your arms above your head.
Elastic cuff and a thump loop.
Drawstring at the waist.
THE PANTS
To begin with, it is good to mention that the Orgil pants are made to be dressed over another layer of climbing pants or shorts, when the weather gets bad. These only weigh 135 grams (M).
Like the anorak, the trousers are very simple in their construction.
There is a simple elastic waistband.
Two open pockets on the sides, lined with breathable mesh.
And the ends of the legs with zipper extensions for use with mountaineering boots. Or dressed with your climbing shoes on.
